Who we are
We are artists, musicians, designers, engineers, lawyers, students, moms, managers, writers, dads, dreamers, schemers, wannabes and a laundry list of other things we try to keep to ourselves. We are a community of the fallen and redeemed. We try to hide within ourselves while deep inside we desperately want to be known. We are eager for those unforgettable moments when the divine and the mortal collide and something in us is irreparably changed. We are hungry (spiritually, too) so we eat. Sometimes that's all we do...and drink coffee. We cry and pray and sing and laugh. We are misfits who, somehow, seem to fit as beautifully as the arms of a longed for love.
WE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO DON’T HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER
Like Peter, we love this Jesus of Nazareth with all we have and all we are, but still seem to stumble over our own feet so much of the time.
WE ARE ALSO THE ONES WHO BELIEVE GRACE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN GUILT
and that Jesus spent more of his time trying to include people in his family circle than finding reasons to exclude them.
THE GOSPEL IS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS
not a list of “dos” and “don’ts”, the Gospel is a lifestyle rather than a Sunday morning hobby.
THE CHURCH IS JUST AS MUCH “OUT THERE” AS IT IS “IN HERE”
and that it is the Body of Christ, and not an institution to be sustained.
THAT A COLLISION WITH GOD CREATES A LIFE OF JOY
and fulfillment like nothing we can find anywhere else.
